Two separate friends had told me about how amazing Raquel was, not only as a Fitness Trainer, but a Registered Nutritionist and in her 4th year of Psychology for Counselling. I bought a fitness training package but I'm getting a 3-for-1 deal as she kicks my butt in the gym, she doesn't stop there, she educates at the same time about food and water intake and has no problem dishing out a good dose of Dr. Phil-style smarten up psychology too.

During the surgery and post-op, I had no idea (and neither did my doctors) that I was 2 months pregnant already and I would be pregnant and on crutches and a cast until nearly 5 months pregnant. 6 months after my break, I could finally begin to walk with a boot on. After rehab, the summer was over, and whole i could slowly start getting active again, I was in my third trimester and the last thing I wanted to do was work out, I couldn't see my feet anyway.

Long story short, I went from an active, fit, muscular woman and became a tired, injured, 8-month post partum mom with significant muscle loss and the baby weight was not coming off while I napped with baby. I had to do something drastic. I was always athletic, strong and energetic and if I hadn't got into shape after 8 months on my own, I needed someone who would help me do it.

Packages aside, even if you sign up for a Spin Class or a monthly membership, tell Raquel what you want to achieve and no one will encourage you toward your goals with as much tough love and belief in what you can accomplish, than Raquel. Seriously! So, like, sign up now.

She's smart, passionate about health and wellness and she loves helping others achieve it. In a few months time since training with Raquel in the Studio, I've got energy, drive, motivation, I've conditioned my muscles again and lost 35 lbs. But most of all, she made me remember who I was again. I regained my confidence in myself because she kept telling me I'm SO worth it, and the stronger I got in body, mind and spirit each week, I began to believe it myself too. I am beyond grateful for Raquel and recommend her to anyone who wants more energy, more strength, greater performance or just to talk to someone who will tell you the truth and encourage you to face it, because it will set you free.

I broke my foot and wasn't able to walk for 4 months only to find out I needed surgery and hardware which delayed walking for another 2 months. As a mother of two boys, it was a lot harder to chase my boys on crutches. I couldn't walk for 6 months and the normal activities I did (Tennis, hiking, biking) every summer were not options. In surgery, I had bone taken out of my hip to put towards healing the bone in my foot and then a plate and screws.
